Maureen Allen joined the firm in 1992 and has over twenty-five (25) years experience as a real estate paralegal in residential and commercial transactions. She specializes in the preparation of closing disclosures, settlement statements, title insurance policies, closing documentation and coordination of all post closing matters. In her free time, Maureen enjoys time with her husband, family, friends and her three Italian Mastiffs. She also enjoys watching the New England Patriots, antiquing and just enjoying life.
Cathy recently joined the firm as our newest paralegal. She has 20 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate, as well as evictions, and family law. Cathy assists in opening files, ordering legal documents for the closing, arranging for closings with the lender, real estate brokers, buyers and sellers, preparation of the closing disclosure and closing packages. Cathy has been married for 25 years and has 2 grown children. She enjoys spending time with her friends, family and her two dogs, as well as following the New England Patriots and attending concerts.
Michele joined the firm in October 2001. She has more than 30 years experience as a residential and commercial real estate paralegal. For the past 10 years, she has assisted the firm’s estate planning attorney, Barbara Epstein, in preparing probate, trust and estate documents, all the while working with clients to ensure that their requests are managed and met. She brings a keen attention to detail and multitasking skills to her work. Michele enjoys the company of family and friends, the outdoors, live music and is a Red Sox fan.
Kristen Herrmann re-joined our firm in March of 2016 after having left back in 2005 to raise her family. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies from Rivier College in 1997. Kristen is our pre-closer in the residential real estate department. She interacts closely with lenders, buyers, sellers, brokers and attorneys to gather all of the necessary information and documentation required to complete the real estate closing process. Her goal is to ease our clients towards a seamless and satisfying purchase experience. She is married with 2 teenagers – a daughter and son, who keep her very busy outside of the office. She enjoys spending time with her family (including 4 cats) and friends, summers in Maine and New Hampshire as well as vacationing in Aruba and Florida. She is an avid New England Patriots fan.
Judy joined the firm in 1990 as our office administrator and bookkeeper. Her responsibilities include client billing, three-way bank reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and staff support. Judy married her high school sweetheart and has two children and three grandsons. She enjoys reading, attending her grandson’s sports activities and spending time with family and friends.
Jack is our newest addition to the legal team. He is a Legal Assistant working towards obtaining his Paralegal Certification. He assists Attorneys Mark Scheier and Carlos Melon with seller representation and purchase and sale agreements. He works closely with our clients to make sure their closings go seamlessly. Jack has lived in Acton for 25 plus years and is currently the Assistant Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Acton-Boxborough High School during the spring season. He is a team player who is willing to go the extra mile to make sure our clients are truly satisfied with their closings.
Tara joined the firm in 2016 as a receptionist and an administrative assistant. She supports and assists our team with a variety of different tasks and projects. She manages the telephone and front desk reception, where she greets and assists clients professionally and with a smile. Tara lives in Boxborough with her two boys and when not working enjoys spending time with family and friends.
